Description
After Athaliah’s fall, Jehoiada renews the covenant so that the priest, the people, and the king together belong to the LORD. The people destroy the temple of Baal and its idols, temple worship under the Law of Moses is restored with priests, gatekeepers, offerings, rejoicing, and song, and finally the young king is escorted from the temple to the palace and seated on the royal throne. The chapter closes with communal joy and a city at peace.

아달랴가 몰락한 뒤 여호야다는 제사장과 백성과 왕이 함께 여호와의 백성이 되도록 언약을 새롭게 한다. 백성은 바알의 신전과 우상들을 무너뜨리고, 모세의 율법에 따른 성전 예배가 제사장들과 문지기들, 제물과 기쁨과 노래 가운데 회복된다. 마침내 어린 왕은 성전에서 왕궁으로 호위되어 왕좌에 앉고, 장면은 온 백성의 기쁨과 평온한 도성으로 마무리된다.
