Description
During Jehoram’s reign, Edom rebels and appoints its own king, breaking away from Judah’s control. Jehoram marches out with officers and chariots, only to find himself surrounded. In the darkness of night he breaks through the encircling enemy, but the revolt remains, a sign that his kingdom is weakening because he has forsaken the LORD.
