2 Chronicles 21 (vv. 5-7, 11)

Jehoram walks in the ways of the house of Ahab, influenced by his marriage alliance and turning from the faithful example of his fathers. He builds high places on the hills of Judah and leads Jerusalem into spiritual unfaithfulness. Yet even in this dark turning, the covenant with David still burns like a lamp, showing that the LORD has not forgotten His promise.
