2 Chronicles 19 (vv. 5-7)

Jehoshaphat appoints judges throughout the fortified cities of Judah and instructs them with great seriousness. He reminds them that they are not judging merely for human beings but for the LORD, who is present whenever they render a verdict. He commands them to act in the fear of the LORD, carefully and without injustice, partiality, or bribery. The scene centers on the solemn transfer of responsibility: civic authority is framed as sacred duty, and justice is shown as an act of reverence before God.
