2 Chronicles 18 (vv. 28-34)

Ahab enters the battle in disguise while Jehoshaphat wears his royal robes, making him the visible target of enemy chariots. As the Aramean commanders rush toward Jehoshaphat, he cries out and the LORD helps him, turning the attack away. Then, in the turning point of the story, a seemingly random arrow finds Ahab between the joints of his armor; he remains propped in his chariot through the day’s fighting until sunset, when he dies, fulfilling Micaiah’s word.

아합은 변장한 채 전쟁에 들어가고, 여호사밧은 왕복을 입은 채 눈에 띄는 표적이 된다. 아람의 병거 지휘관들이 여호사밧에게 돌진하자 그는 부르짖고, 여호와께서 그를 도우셔서 공격의 방향을 돌리신다. 그리고 이야기의 전환점에서 우연처럼 보이는 한 화살이 아합의 갑옷 이음새를 꿰뚫는다. 그는 하루 종일 전투가 계속되는 동안 병거에 몸을 기대고 있다가 해 질 무렵 마침내 죽어, 미가야의 말이 그대로 이루어진다.
