Description
As Rehoboam and the leaders of Judah gather in Jerusalem in fear of Shishak, the prophet Shemaiah confronts them with the word of the LORD: because they abandoned God, they have been handed over to Shishak. In response, the king and the leaders humble themselves and confess, 'The LORD is just,' and the LORD grants them partial deliverance while leaving them under foreign domination as a lesson.
