Description
Priests and Levites leave their lands throughout Israel and come to Judah and Jerusalem because Jeroboam has rejected them and established false worship with illegitimate priests and idols. Along with them come faithful people from every tribe who desire to seek the LORD and offer sacrifices in Jerusalem. The scene is both sorrowful and hopeful: exile from home is matched by joyful pilgrimage toward true worship.
