Description
After God gives no answer to Saul, the king gathers the leaders and seeks out the hidden sin by sacred lot. Saul and Jonathan stand apart before the people, and the lot falls on Jonathan, who calmly confesses that he tasted a little honey. Saul declares that Jonathan must die, but the people rise up and rescue the hero who had brought deliverance to Israel.
