1 Peter 1 (vv. 13-17)

Here the believers are shown preparing their minds and lives for obedience, rejecting former desires and walking in holiness. A group moves through a foreign city street, distinct in conduct and expression from the surrounding culture, embodying sober hope and reverent fear before the impartial Father. Their faces are alert, disciplined, and peaceful, as though they are inwardly set on the grace to be revealed at Christ’s coming. The scene should highlight moral contrast without hostility: they live among others, yet their identity and direction are clearly different.
