1 Peter 1 (vv. 1-2)

The opening scene portrays scattered believers living as exiles across the Roman provinces of Asia Minor. Men, women, and children from small house communities stand in different rugged landscapes and town edges, symbolizing Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia. Though geographically dispersed, they are spiritually united under the foreknowledge of God, the sanctifying work of the Spirit, and the covenantal grace of Jesus Christ. The scene should visually communicate both displacement and divine belonging, with heavenly light suggesting God’s unseen presence resting over them.
