Description
With the whole assembly of Israel standing before him, Solomon turns from the temple and blesses the people. He praises the LORD for fulfilling the promise spoken to David: that though David desired to build a house for God’s Name, it would be his son who would complete it. The king stands as both ruler and witness, publicly declaring that the temple and the ark testify to the faithfulness of the covenant-keeping God.
