Description
A prophet, wounded on purpose and disguised with a headband over his eyes, waits by the roadside for Ahab. He tells a parable about failing to guard a captive, and Ahab unknowingly pronounces his own judgment. Then the prophet removes the covering, reveals his identity, and declares the LORD’s sentence: because Ahab released the man appointed to destruction, his life will be for Ben-Hadad’s life and his people for Ben-Hadad’s people. Ahab returns to Samaria sullen and angry.
