Description
On Mount Carmel, before the assembled nation and the many prophets of Baal, Elijah steps forward and asks the people how long they will waver between two loyalties. He proposes a test: two bulls, two altars, and no fire. The God who answers by fire will be shown to be the true God. The people stand silent, caught between fear, habit, and the possibility of repentance.
