Description
On the road, the man of God is overtaken by divine judgment: a lion kills him, yet does not devour the body or attack the donkey, leaving a startling sign for passersby. The old prophet comes, finds the body lying on the road with the lion and donkey standing beside it, and carries the man back to mourn and bury him in his own tomb. He then testifies that the word spoken against Bethel will surely come true.
