1 Kings 13 (vv. 1-3)

A man of God from Judah arrives at Bethel while King Jeroboam stands beside the altar making an offering. In a bold public confrontation, the prophet cries out against the altar itself, declaring that a future son of David named Josiah will desecrate it and that the altar will split apart as a sign from the LORD. The moment is charged with prophetic authority, royal tension, and the shock of hearing judgment pronounced in the middle of worship.
