1 Corinthians 6 (vv. 1-8)

The scene captures Paul’s rebuke: instead of resolving trivial matters among the saints, believers have dragged one another into worldly judgment, showing spiritual defeat even before any verdict is given.

고린도 공동체에 속한 두 그리스도인이 격렬한 다툼 가운데 공공의 시민 법정 앞에 서서, 믿지 않는 사람들 앞에 자신들의 갈등을 드러낸다. 그들 주변에는 긴 옷을 입은 재판관들과 호기심 어린 시선의 구경꾼들이 서 있고, 교회의 수치가 공개적으로 드러난다. 이 장면은 바울의 책망을 담고 있다. 성도들 사이에서 해결할 수 있는 사소한 문제를 세상 법정으로 끌고 가며, 판결이 내려지기 전부터 이미 영적인 패배를 드러내고 있는 것이다.
