1 Corinthians 13 (vv. 8-10)

A symbolic scene contrasts temporary gifts with the permanence of love. Scrolls of prophecy curl and fade in the wind, a musician’s lips fall silent beside unused instruments, and tablets of knowledge lie dimly in shadow. At the center stands a radiant act of love between people that remains vivid and enduring while everything else grows still. A bright, descending light from heaven symbolizes the coming of completeness, before which partial things pass away. The image should feel both poetic and theological, showing that human gifts are temporary but love abides.
