1 Chronicles 24 (vv. 1-2)

The chapter opens by naming the sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. Yet the memory of loss hangs over the priestly line, because Nadab and Abihu died before their father and left no sons.
