Description
At the command delivered through Gad, David goes to the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite. Araunah is threshing wheat when he turns and sees the angel, and his four sons hide themselves in fear. As David approaches, Araunah leaves the threshing floor and bows low before the king. The scene combines ordinary agricultural labor with sudden intrusion of divine mystery and royal purpose.
