Description
After the assembly, the men remain with David for three days, eating and drinking in celebration. Families and neighbors from near and far bring abundant provisions on donkeys, camels, mules, and oxen: flour, fig cakes, raisin cakes, wine, oil, cattle, and sheep. The final image is one of overflowing provision and shared joy, as political unity becomes communal rejoicing throughout Israel.
