1 Chronicles 11 (vv. 1-3)

All Israel gathers at Hebron to acknowledge David as their own flesh and blood and the shepherd chosen by the LORD. The elders come before him, and a solemn covenant is made in the presence of God. David is then anointed king over all Israel, fulfilling the word previously spoken through Samuel.
